I’m a freelance designer and developer who creates bespoke, accessible, user friendly websites.
I have 20 years experience and work remotely with agencies and clients throughout the UK and in North America, Europe and Asia.
Design
My focus in design is getting to the heart of what a client wants, and who their audience is, so I can tailor my designs to their specific needs. While each design is unique, I tend towards a clean, user friendly aesthetic.
I am able to balance innovative and original design concepts with the creation of a clear and effective solution to a brief. While my primary focus is digital work, I also have a breadth of experience in branding and print based design.
Accessibility
I have extensive knowledge of WCAG 2.2 and whenever possible design and build all my websites to at least AA accessibility level (AAA available on request). I also offer heuristic review of your existing website to advise on any accessibility issues your existing website may have.
Development
In front end development I am aided by my attention to detail, lateral thinking and ability to imagine a display at multiple sizes as I work, to create fully responsive, highly polished websites.
I have experience of a range of CMS including WordPress with FSE, and I am quick to learn new systems as required. I have expert knowledge of css3, sass, less, html 5, the bootstrap 5 framework and html emails, and I am proficient at jquery, xslt, xforms and PHP and json.
